Unified Messaging

Unified Messaging provides the convenience of accessing and managing all messages – voice, fax and email – from a single inbox. Access can be made from any device – landline, mobile, email – at any location.

Industry analyst reports indicate that this can save up to 30 minutes every working day. Typical capabilities of a Unified Messaging system should include:

  • Access to all messages – voice, fax, email - from the same email inbox
  • Ability to save and print Fax images
  • Collection of faxes on any fax machine or at any connected printer
  • Ability to send faxes from your PC without using a fax machine
  • Optional notification of voicemail messages by SMS

Unified messaging is particularly convenient for mobile business users because it allows them to reach colleagues and customers through a PC or telephone, whichever happens to be available.

Unified Messaging Saves on Time and Increases Worker Productivity

Unified messaging helps people better manage all their messages, be it voice, text, or fax. Unified messaging will not reduce the number of messages, but will centralise your messages, allowing for the same quantity of communications to be received, reviewed, and enabling them to be responded to in less time. Also, unified messaging serves to better organise information and facilitate access. Unified messaging is defined as the means to access and retrieve all types of messages via one or more interfaces (such as computer, phone, etc.) regardless of how they arrived, whether by phone, fax, or email.
